:snoop: at people not understanding the difference between a real time tech demo and a CGI cinematic.

Seriously :snoop:

Some of yall just need to hit up Wal-Mart, buy whatever console you like, plug it in, and stick to that. Anything beyond that is going to go right over your head.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
how many times have we seen trailers supposedly in real time then the game looks nothing like that

technically you are correct ... but that doesnt always mean they tell you the truth about it

That is not a CGI trailer, it is a tech demo running on a single GTX 680, you need to realize there has been hardware capable of those graphics for years now. If they released that demo tomorrow, I'd be able to run it on my PC & stop/pan the camera around since it's done in realtime.

You nikkas always dismissing advances in graphics confuse me. Do ya'll nikkas NOT want better graphics? Do you NOT want to one day experiencing playing games like as if you were in the Matrix?

Steve Jobs was right. Consumers don't know what they want. You just make the best product and they'll buy. You nikkas talking about gameplay are MORONS. How can gameplay become lifelike when the graphics aren't?

If you want real life gameplay/physics you need real life graphics. Otherwise it'll always feel like your playing with cartoons.

Breh, if I didn't tell you this -

Was realtime, you'd think it was a trailer, but that's from my PC and is what the game looks like. The next gen consoles should be capable of everything you see in that demo, maybe at a slightly lower framerate since that was done with a 680, but they're showing the engine for a reason.

a single 680 is probably far more powerful than anything inside a next generation console.

True, however the engine is scaleable, and I just assume the next gen consoles will be "medium-high" settings.

The first party games are where the consoles will shine, the Unreal Engine stuff will just run much better on PC.

same thing running on a PS4 dev kit and a GTX 680

PS4

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY20pxEQM-A]Unreal Engine 4 Elemental Demo [1080p] - YouTube[/ame]
GTX 680

i really noticed the part where the rocks were falling in the hallway and the candles lit up the effects were way better on the GTX 680 and on the part where he walks through the hall way with the falling rocks the PS4's frame rate is noticeably worse and skips frames. but let's be honest that graphics card will likely cost more than the entire PS3 on its own.

A 670 will get like 90% of the performance of a 680, and lets be real, someone building a PC gaming rig isn't going to care about dollar to performance ratio.

when i built my computer back in January i looked at both the 680 and 670 and decided to go with the 670 because its maybe 5-7% weaker than the 680 but cost $100 less. i couldn't justify paying the extra $100 for that weak a performance boost. its probably like under 5-6FPS on most games.
