I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Bret's beef with Dean Malenko (which is mentioned in this podcast) was always kind of random as hell to me. He just went off a random "And while we're at it: fukk Dean Malenko too! :pacspit:" in his book.

A poster at another forum that I used to post at got to ask Bret about that El Dandy line and Bret told him he was a fan of Dandy's work in the ring so he thought he'd shout him out. Same with Psychosis too.

Even the biggest Bret Hart mark can’t dispute what Bischoff said. Bret comes across as the guy that you know is going to ruin the night when he shows up, because he’s miserable and he wants everybody to be as miserable as he is. People are trying to party and have a good time while Bret’s walking around trying to tell everybody about how his pet cat got ran over
Not really..his stories a few funny as fukk. Hes outed TX racists, the mind games of the Kilq, has given outline on how McMahon envisions things for a top performer.

Bischoff is no better..he has these weird new age stories like he's some kind of genius and knew better. I mean he cries about Lex Luger for really no reason. Without that podcast, no one would even know he was alive.

I agree, I’ve noticed the last few years that EB has been a whiny bytch himself.

Nah, Bret is just a straight shooter (no pun intended). He's bitter about some stuff, sure, but he also just has this personality where he'll say things straight up without nuance.

Like that interview he did where he talked about Vader and said he didn't like wrestling him because he would rarely wash his outfit and dude would stink.

Vader reacted like 'What's your problem with me, Bret?' :gucci:

and Bret was like 'I have no problem with you. But you can't tell me you didn't stink.' :ld:

That's just how Bret is. :manny:

I get Bischoff's POV, especially as a businessman where it pays to be flexible and to see things in that manner.

Bret is just solid on his views and tends to stick that way. It's hard to convince Bret otherwise, unless Bret experiences it. He kinda buried things with Vince, and even that can tell you that Bret has the possibility of change. His moral compass is strong, and obviously molds him overall.

Seeing him as miserable, is probably just constant grievances. There's a difference between a Negative Nancy pessimist, and someone who relies on experience for the next step - even when it's bad.

He has a lot of bitter things to say for sure, but those are the things people remember. To me, someone truly bitter has nothing good to say about anyone. Bret has tons of positive stuff to say about certain guys/matches etc, but it doesn't make headlines the same way.

He's just brutally honest with opinion on things, which can seem harsh when you aren't used to that in people.
