Almost 16 years old and sounds fresh and otherworldly as before.

WE'll never have a nother musicial genius like Dilla. Who was beyond multitalented (did all the instruments on this and sampled)....he had placements on many major projects around this time
'
I find it funny how in the 90s he ushered in the 90s analog/synth to digital style then moved back to the cut and paste sampling.

BTW, 1999-2000 was the year of Dilla's be productions if you were paying attention.

Note to self.....gonna have to try to get this on LP. I think this is Badu's best album next to Baduism.

:wow:

chronic.

Nice T3 verse on there too.

One thing about Dilla I always respected, he was always trying to be J Dilla, and no one else behind the bords. I always loved the SLum Village album cause they seems like they were freestyling over beats as suppposed to focusing on writtens. You listen to Dilla, or SLum Village, Or Platinum Pied Pipers, Or Dwele, or Que D, or Guilty simpon, you just hear the sound of the Detroit, not NYC, not ATL, not CA>>>>

and that's over a freaking carpernter's sample.
