I’ll be curious how much if any of the live band is on the album. I’m assuming none. They had a live band playing backup keys, guitar, and S1 even was in the band with an MPC playing some drums live. Badu was playing an MPC and keys too.

Weakest song of all the ones I heard tonight.

I don’t wanna end up overhyping it. The set design and their chemistry on stage was crazy. This was arguably one of the top 5 live shows I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot.

They each had different “rooms” they were in on stage that had their own interior designs, and they had their own instruments and stuff in each room. And eventually they both came out to the middle of the stage together near the end. They seemed like best friends for real. Al seemed so happy to perform with her.

Kinda hoping it sounds half as good next week on speakers.

This year went from being super dry to crazy packed. Before summer I was thinking this year was very slow

They said at the show that it comes out this coming Friday.

Valentine was on it. Early in the album. These were the track titles. There was a big screen showing the name of every song as they were playing it.

Also, they did not play any features. There are definitely features on the album, but they didn't play any of them. They had a girl rap a verse on stage and she was holding a teddy bear, but I couldn't tell who she was. They said her name but I didn't catch it. I think she rapped on the song Crossfade. I think they confirmed DJ Quik as well.

I am back to being hype for this. My friend in Seattle went to a show. He told me about the different room setups and Badu was on her MPC. He said this album is fire.

I know I'm in the minority but I really liked Next To You and I wouldn't even be mad if the entire album was mobb deep flips

The album performed live was insane. The way Badu told it, the single was her just kind of freestyling on that old Mobb beat for fun. She said she always wanted to sing on it, and it was the first thing they recorded. It's basically tacked as a final bonus track on the album. It really didn't feel like it was a part of the album when they performed it live.
