Mos was also supposed to drop his Money Christmas album for Christmas 2024. Had people pre-order it via Bandcamp. He missed his release window again for this year. How do you miss a Christmas deadline for a fukking Christmas album? shyt is never coming out...
I think he's big in local creative scenes especially in big cities globally. He's a cultured dude and been active since childhood. He inspired the whole nomad thing Kanye was on
I have an aunt and an old friend who are both modern artists (soundscapes, experiential stuff) basically do stuff in smaller galleries and super niche scenes
They can stretch 30-40k a year (grants, social benefits, a few gigs here and there, part time work) into a whole lifestyle where they're out every night, eating, partying etc. It's a completely different way of living, and personally not for me lol

He’s catalog is paper thin.
He might be frugal with his money but in order to eat, you gotta work and I can’t imagine the paintings he sells now sell like that
He hardly ever releases new music now, so he’s relying solely on shows and art work
It’d be interesting to know how much he makes a show but I know it can’t be but so much
I think that he has strong relationships globally, on a level that transcends music
