That physical play only came out when those two teams played. It didn't represent the typical run of the mill 80s brand of ball.

Wrong.

Sixers and Celtics fought.

Celtics & Pistons fought

Bulls & Pistons fought

Karl Malone used to throw them thangs all the time back then.

Once Oakley went to the Knicks, they were more violent

Danny Ainge & Tree Rollins was one of the most fun fights back then too.

The NBA was violent as fukk in the '80s & early '90s and more fun because of it
Basically:pachaha:

Also on another note. Why in the fukk did the Milwaukee Bucks trade Kareem/Lew Alcindor to the Lakers:gucci::what::damn::wtf::mindblown: When did the owner, GM, and coach come to the conclusion that, "We don't him".:picard:

Dude, Kareem scared the fukk out of White people in the '70s. People forget that.

Dude was seen as teh angriest, militant Black man.

Some Islam dude actually was murdered at his house and people were looking at him like, :merchant:.

Like he was running with the hardest of the hardcore Muslim cats.

Plus he was miserable in Milwaukee, so he just was a dikk until they traded him.

Don't let these Lakers/Celtics/Bad Boy Pistons 30 of 30's fool you.. There was alot of shytty teams in the late 80's and 90's. Its that the rules have changed

Back then you had to stick your man and you couldn't hide on defense the way Steph Curry & James Harden do.

There weren't as many teams, so the league wasn't as diluted either

There were bad teams, but the Knicks & Lakers today are worst than most of the teams in the '80s

-Not saying that midwest white folks didn't give him that look but none of the stuff you mentioned was a cause to trade one of the greatest big men in the history of the game..probably thee greatest.

-and there's a bigger worldwide talent pool open in today's game justifying the expansion. The NBA was pretty much Americans only back then

The Sixers and Celtics fighting doesn't change the fact that their series was relatively clean.

Either way, most of the rough stuff happened during the playoffs. Back then, we as fans all knew the refs kept their whistles in their pockets during playoff time

I thought you were saying only the Lakers & Celtics had hard fought series'

Playoff basketball back then, boy:whoo:

Maybe they should split the difference and let the regular season be the soft ass shyt and then once the playoffs start:demonic:

THIS RIGHT HERE!!

It was amazing. As fans, we all knew coming in that the entire culture of how the games are called was going to change in the playoffs.

That's gone now. :to:
