going by your logic, what did Fab 5 accomplish? wearing baggy shorts?

the early 1990s Magic were arguably the most popular team in sports at the time, and the 1996 free agency of Shaq changed the entire landscape of the NBA for a decade +...

YES, the Fab 5 were the early 90's. It's 2016 and nikkas still rocking baggy shorts (Iverson and Jordan added to it too) that's an Impact. The whole world had their eyes on these young college nikkas. THAT's A STORY!

Shaq did change the NBA landscape AS A LAKER!

This is the equivalent of doing a feature film on the World Class Wrecking Crew instead of NWA. All you can talk about is legendary shyt the PEOPLE WENT ON TO DO LATER

Naw, they wasn't getting past jordan once the bulls got rodman who could single cover shaq and they eliminated them making 3s.

Anybody want to know why I know that 96 bulls team would beat any team now? That 96 sweep of Orlando is my answer. Wasn't the offense, that series was a defensive masterpiece. I just watched the entire series a few months ago. I swear I don't think that bulls team even missed a defensive assignment that entire series. It was a dismantling.

Then by time jordan retires, penny starts getting hurt. Shaq made the right move.
Yeah I meant having next once Jordan went to play baseball once he returned and we lost in six I didn't even get worked up over it cause of MJ taking that hiatus close to 2 years coming back with what like 22 games left in the season?
:manny:

Then Penny started getting injured around Jordan's exit and became a what could've been situation.. :wow:

It's not about who started it, it's about popularized it. Michael Jackson wasn't the first nikka to do the moonwalk but he's the one associated with it. That's besides the point.

My point is I don't feel Orlando deserves a 30 for 30. There shining moment is beating 45 Jordan, that wasn't Prime Jordan and he proved it coming back stomping they ass the next year. They didn't even have a heated rivalries like the Knicks had with the Bulls, Heat, Indiana. And that's another point (yes I saw the Reggie Miller doc) 90's teams like the Knicks never won shyt either but are worthy of being focused on.

Jordan getting the ball stolen and the magic destroying the bulls game 6 in 95 ruined my childhood.

I still remember being in the basement with the tv off after the game screaming "IT WAS A FOUL" knowing dam well jordan just lost the ball :heh: I skipped school the next day because I didn't feel like even talking about it lol.

When Shaq gets older he may regret not staying in Orlando more then he regretted beefing with Kobe. At least they got 3 rings and reached the top of the mountain. But in LA he was just another star. If he would have stayed with Penny and they would have won some chips (and after maybe 98 no one would have stopped them I don't think) he would have reached legend status in Orlando and been treated like a God. Not to mention I don't ever remember him and Penny actually having a problem on court cause Penny was the best ever at giving him the ball at the best spot for him in the post. I think it was more cause Penny was probably the bigger celeb with the shoes and the commercials (though Shaq had a lot of his own too) and Shaq probably couldn't deal with that deep down inside. But on court their chemistry was top notch.

I was a big fan of that squad when they were playing, that being said what was so unique about the team? I mean they are the equivalent to the current OKC squad. Exciting, fast paced, strong contenders, star power in a mid sized city.....but never won shyt.

Because Shaquille and Penny could've been the best duo in NBA history and it didn't work out. Two All Time great talents on one team both young and before their prime. Yea, that's pretty unique to me.

Like someone said it's more of a sad story so perfect for ESPN 30 for 30. If it had worked out they're already be a feature film made about it.

OKC is a good comparison though.
