I was not a baseball fan like that either, like very casually cause of the Braves and video games but being able to witness a guy hit the most Home Runs in the history of the sport even if he was past his prime was a huge deal

But I’ll give you maybe she didn’t know Barry growing up and NFL isn’t her main sport

She’s 35 working in a country and for a sports company where football is king, not saying she gotta know his career yards per carry but you gotta at least know the name Barry Sanders.

She knows who Barry Sanders is. She made a mistake.

The problem is ESPN and other networks are too cheap to have specialized personalities. You got former NFL players doing NBA segments, NBA players doing baseball segments. NBA analysts doing boxing segments. NASCAR, Hockey, and Football (soccer), don't have that problem.

McNutt can speak on basketball. She should've be forced to do those types of segments anyway.
