I didnt know the godfather was in the gwf.

I prolly remember him being there, but don't remember it being him, If you know what I mean. the same goes for others like jack victory.

also, I recall this show looking mad glossy on espn. or is it just espn classic making everything look older than it was? they just showed a football game from 2000 and that chit looked like it was from the '80s.

fukk, I don't have that channel :to:

GWF was great to me back in the day. I fukked with that every afternoon. :win:

yup.

everyday after school/before practice. espn had it on lock. f*ck cartoons.

3:30 - monster trucks
4:00 - GWF wrestling

I grew up on espn. and gwf helped break me into wrestling. I think it was the 2nd promotion I started watching, before I discovered wcw.

real spit, the patriot is one of my all-time favorites.

patriot was their sting/hulk Hogan
handsome stranger(buff bagwell) TO ME was their luger/warrior
eddie gilbert was the ultimate heel.

ESPN used to show AWA and USWA..that's where I first saw Curt Henning, Hall, and Jeff Jarrett. Lawler always had that fukking belt USWA belt on that goofy USWA show. LOL. He was like a 12x champion in 1991....haha

sht is unwatchable, tho. You might get a lil kick of nostalgia for a few minutes, but there's no way you can consistently sit through a whole hour of that.

it depends on the card. don't sleep and be dismissive. the light-heavyweight division alone is must-see tv. they pioneered this chit and don't get credit.

some episodes are looking dry and are only good for nostalgia at this point......... but then they start pulling out the eps with the patriot, light heavyweights, etc. and I havnt seen a lot of them thus far. Ive already noticed that they show those on the back-end of the marathon block. you can tell by the sudden upgrade of production value that theyre not going in order. I wish they would tho, for recording purposes. case in point, I finally see bruce Pritchard, but hes already in heel mode.

I didnt even see the ebony experience, cactus jack, jerry lynn or the dark patriot yet.

I wanna see brute force & rasta the voodoo man. I don't remember what they look like at all.

Yeah, Patriot was one of my favorites out of all promotions at the time. To me, he was on level with Sting & Hulk. Eddie Gilbert was great. I remember those Lightning Kid/Jerry Lynn matches. :ohlawd:

I'd watch GWF and stuff like cartoons/kids' game shows on The Family Channel and then switch to WGN at 5PM for Saved By The Bell. :russ:

@ the bolded, you remember that puppet that had a show on there? his name was gilbert. I cant find any clips or anything on that show for some reason.

I remember that channel being slept-on before it started getting passed around by fox & abc.
