Well you do have to consider the roster sizes. Getting $20 mil a year as 1/53rd of a roster ain't the same as $20 mil a year as 1/15th. It's apples to oranges in regards to individual salaries. IMO it's more fair to allow teams and players to get out of bad deals and to allow guys to make whatever they can negotiate and teams to pay whatever they deem reasonable rather than a predetermined amount.

In the NFL these guys can't get out of bad deals but the teams can and that's not fair to me. In my opinion if you want me to play for you, give me a certain amount of money over a certain time and if you don't want to pay then I'll take my talent to the team that guarantees the most.

That is exactly what happens in the NFL breh :heh:. If you are good/impactful enough you can get out of a bad deal as a player. That is why I say it's fair. You get it how you live. Everybody can't live the same way though :yeshrug:.

Not always the case. Some dudes got to work to hard to get their shyt. Threatening not to come in and all types of shyt. At the end of the day these NFL players would give their right nut for half of what the NBA players are getting.

Better than not having the option at all. I believe in players getting what they can negotiate when they so chose rather than a pre-set amount for a pre-set amount of time, but like I said it's all about how you look at it. I am sure they would but they had a fair shot to make the NBA and weren't good enough :yeshrug:. Fair isn't about everybody getting the same thing. Fair is about you getting what you have the leverage to negotiate (word to my nikka Jalen). How fair is it to have guys like Bron and KD forced to take a fraction of what they could get on the open market while guys that are a fraction the player they are getting broke the fukk off in part due to the stardom of those guys?

I actually think that with that graphic, ESPN is ethering the NBA, saying that instead of spending that money and getting 11 good to great quarterbacks to lead teams somewhere, the NBA spent that on guys who have never been All Stars, or probably wont be 1st team all-NBA.

shyt ia so stupid to compare. Only reason nfl players dont make as much is because its takes a lot more players to complete an NFL team rostet than an NBA roster.

You never see NBA fans compare the NBA contracts to MLB though:mjpls:
:sas1:How bout you do the honors for us? We all know everyone looking at the Coli, so NBA , NFL, MLB, & ESPN will see it. :sas2:

Kinda sucks since NFL careers are hella short and more dangerous due to the contact injuries compared to NBA so less time to earn. Also the pension for NFL is shyt compared to NBA as well. At least football players can earn their retirement at age 55 and do not have no minimum of service to collect vs age 62 with the NBA. Think the maximum they get is like 60-70k a year vs 115K for former NBAers. American football is indeed a plantation sport and I am not even talking about racial aspect of it.

Lucky America because soccer(football) clubs don't pay their players shyt after contract expiration or offer retirement. God bless America. :salute:

Oakland
the disparity will remain due to roster size, but at bare minimum, NFL players need to get guaranteed contracts, even if they end up in 1-2 year situations
