Another thing. The NFL contracts are funny money. shyt ain't guarateed outside the bonus. The NBA contracts are guaranteed for the most part and often times if a dude is cut the buy out option amount is negotiated.

There's no excuse for them getting paid the way they do AND not having guaranteed contracts. It'd be one thing to have ridiculous contracts that are not guaranteed. One would argue it would make sense. But to have the contracts that these guys get, AND they aren't guaranteed?

Football players need to take that stand. For the future of the sport. Sit out a season. Hit them where it hurts, and it'll hurt them too, but it'd be the best thing for the future of the sport.

That's the crux of it.

A lot of players that aren't superstars and even some superstars are living game check to game check. During the lockout of 2011 guys were taking out ridiculously high interest loans just to get by. In order for them to have any type of leverage in a labor dispute they need to have a strategy in place years in advance, or else they'll always end up getting screwed at the negotiation table.

Nfl makes way more money than any other league. Their players should be compensated as such. Especially considering the risks they are taking.

Basically all it boils down to.....people keep parroting all this bullshyt like NFL plays less games, too many players on the roster. Look at total revenue, NFL is still bringing in more than twice as much as the NBA. NFL has less average pay than the fukking NHL. Do you really wanna argue that the average pay in is lower than hockey because there's more players on a roster while the NFL makes like 10x as much as the NHL . NFLPA is trash and the players don't have the balls to really stand up to the owners. Its really that simple

Plus for the "too many players on the roster" arguments, how the fukk does that change the fact that NFL contracts aren't even guaranteed, and they can just cut your ass whenever they feel like
