I don't watch the show regularly except for in clips. Has Monica Mcnutt been back on the show since she embarrassed him?
the only person i can think of that hasn't returned after an on-air conflict was jay williams - and he played himself three times over :mjlol:

dude will say something non-personal but pointed, then hand you the mic to shoot a whole promo on his air time. been doing it for years, its cultivated and deliberate fr lol

what happened?
they'd bumped heads before, but long story short they were covering the nets/mavs trade for kyrie. stephen a was talking availability, jay brought up vaccines and the antisemitism 'what about amazon' stuff - and like.... he might've actually agreed with him but jay made shyt so personal on air that it was hard to come back from.

i remember molly was even :snoop: and tim legler was cheesing at the table too. everyone knew jay was on borrowed time after that

If he’s a permanent member that might not work imo but guest appearances of course we all knew that was in play.
They REALLY need to treat him like ESPN did when he first started and made sporadic appearances on Cold Pizza (predecessor to 1st Take)

I respect Stephen A's hustle. But when he retires, ESPN needs to send a woman to his house to fluff him up, an unlimited card to the breakfast spot of Stephen A's choice and a lifetime gas card on top of the 20% raise.

Barkley gonna kill him. He ain't gonna be able to hide his dislike,
He's not gonna be able to try and bytch him like he's done with the ex players on ESPN.

TBH the Inside guys have the leverage because their the ratings draw when it comes to the NBA and WBD knows that.

I think Stephen A actually fits in with the guys. As long as it's on occasion not all the time. From what I've seen Stephen A knows how to take a joke and doesn't take himself too seriously. Obviously it's going to be a lot of come on home jokes about his hairline. Now somebody like Skip Bayless he would never work he's too serious. He's someone who lives and breathes debate

shaq is literally not a part of that decades-old chemistry and he watered down the product

Iconically terrible. Shaq singlehandedly ruined the hall of fame chemistry the original 3 members had

Outside of Shaqtin a Fool, his presence has been completely unneeded. They won Emmys prior to Shaq as well

And as a side note, Chris Webber was 10x better as the 4th member than Shaq ever was

THEY WON 14 OF THEIR 19 EMMYS
AFTER SHAQ JOINED THE SHOW
SO THE MATH AINT MATHING

I didn't think they needed a 4th person. I liked Webber on the show as the 4th and he would have been good too. I thought Shaq ruined the chemistry at first but they've adjusted and it's been working for a while now. Shaq plays his role of being the petty/hater/dumbass that Barkley and Kenny play off of.

Honestly, that's not saying much. The show has been such a hit for 20+ years, it's basically a house hold name and synonymous with the NBA at this point. They can bring in Carrot Top or Hurricane Chris to talk basketball, and people will still watch
