Nah. It's because Roger don't play that shyt. He got Bill Simmons fired and gave ESPN a poo poo platter of games for three or four years as punishment. They know better than to say something slick about ANY NFL city.

Think about how they be hyping up Buffalo on their NFL coverage. I've been to Buffalo and Phoenix. Phoenix is wayyyyyyyyyy more fun than Buffalo, and I bet Milwaukee is too, but all we hear about Buffalo is how passionate the fans are and food porn shots of buffalo wings.

Nah I get all that I was just joking about how Stephen A doesn’t know shyt about football. I said in my previous post I don’t get why the NBA let’s them talk about the league like that.

Whats the bill simmons story? I hate that dude so I would love to know what got him canned.

He was talking wild shyt about Roger on a podcast, said he don't give a fukk what happens behind him saying it, and next thing you know he's suspended then fired.

Simmons be claiming he got fired because he told management he don't give a fukk what happens, and it made them look bad, but ain't no one on any network talked wild about Roger since then......I don't even think they even say wild shyt about players anymore. Remember the SAS weed rants? There's a whole lot less sauce behind them now.

also the NFL is one game vs NBA being a series with multiple stays/travel between the cities, a bit different convo IMO

They're still in the city for a handful of days. Even on a single NFL game it's a two day trip.

Gave them a poo poo platter games for three to fours straight in spite of ESPN paying more for the NFL rights than CBS and SNF :mjlol:

Im aware, its still not the same though, the NBA Finals stretches for multiple weeks between two cities

It's one of the most incredible things that's ever happened in sports history and no one ever really talks about it. They slapped them in the face for several years and in the end ESPN/ABC/Disney signed up for another 10 years of it for 2.7 billion per year until 2033.

Every city has some fly shyt to get into. If you say I'm going to be between two semi-major cities for multiple weeks I can 1000% guarantee you that I'm going to find some fly shyt and this would especially to true for a city hosting some NBA playoff games. It ain't like they're being sent between Topeka and Omaha.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
You would think at some point Silver would step in and say something to ESPN seeing as all it does is fuel the narrative about the bias against small market teams. Too bytchmade to do anything about it though as they view any NBA talk as eyes being on their product whether it's positive or negative.

No way would Goodell and the NFL allow some of the talk and slander about their product and teams that ESPN does about the NBA.
That’s because the NFL doesn’t give those shyt cities a chance to host to the super bowl

The only two people that have really talked about it in discussion over the years is Richard Deitsch and John Ourand and that's only because they have no loyalty to ESPN or the NFL with the people that they work for. I will always believe that their sources are/were current and former ESPN people as they know wayyyy too much information about all the inner working aspects of the company to be on the outside.

I believe that Golic was leaking the information to them about the Mike & Mike situation and how it all went down as everything they've said over the years turned out to be true.
