Commentators love to talk about how players should take a team friendly pay cut so they can win and deride players who take more money to play for lesser teams :sas2:

I wonder what theyll say now that they are being asked to take a company friendly pay cut so the janitors and secretaries don't get canned :sas1:

I didn’t even know they still had 100 commentators still on their payroll

Career suicide. Disney will be sure to leak the names of those who didn’t buy in. Who wants to be known publicly as the 1% not willing to sacrifice for the 99%?

And remember there will surely be more ESPN layoffs once of all of this over.

Yeah you’ll still get paid the remainder of your contract (as long as you don’t take another job) and the money that you refused to give up, but you will be hard pressed to make that type of money outside of ESPN with the next contract. Surely they should have foreseen this coming the moment that the highups took a pay cut.
