Majority of the drops are from people that don't watch sports and are dropping cable all together, it's not like sports fans are calling their cable provider and are like, I want to drop espn, it doesn't work like. And most people don't know how to stream sports for free or get around local market blackout rules.

Nfl network = goat for football coverage and they cover all the teams in depth.... espn always focus on a few select teams and their sunday countdown has been getting worse every year... dion, faulk and irvin be killing on nfl network

Nbatv however need some reorganization tho... they should have a show every week doing OPEN COURT with former players to tell their stories.... show more nba classic games and stop showing replays of current games...

Espn lost me when they eliminated brian kelly legendary fighters and having greats like burt sugar talking about sugar ray robinson and hagler vs Leonard fights... then they have sportscenter replay for like 8 hours straight..... the nba games they select on certain nights be fukking horrible... u showing the knicks vs Atlanta when at the same time portland vs spurs or a young Minnesota vs boston is playing...

Then on Sunday's all they show is bowling and NASCAR

These days, I see more content being published with errors than I have in the past. Not even grammatical errors only either. I'm talking errors in content as well. It's apparent that the aim now is to get your content out as fast as possible and then correct errors rather than getting everything in order before publishing.

WatchESPN is free. That's all I really need though cause I mostly watch the live events.

You only get WatchESPN with an account from a cable provider, so it's not "free", or a standalone. That's what people are talking about, ESPN offering a standalone service.

I went without ESPN for awhile, but I signed up for Playstation Vue for $29.99/month and get ESPN now. I really hope this catches on because paying $30 for cable is reasonable to me

People are awake to the fact that ESPN lacks true credible sports journalism. Watching an episode of Sportscenter is like watching Entertainment Tonight with forced pop culture quotables and coverage of the same few sports figures.

There are so many other outlets now if you want real journalism and not just talking heads pandering for ratings. (FSN, NFL Network, podcasts, etc.)

30 for 30 is the best thing ESPN has going for itself these days.

Most people aged 18-25 only watch ESPN on SlingTV or through their parents email and password from their cable provider.

I think it's due to them covering the same topics over and over no matter how sorry the teams are. i.e Dallas Cowboys. as soon as I see coverage of that team on SportsCenter I turn the channel. They have done nothing of worth & they continue to get top billing. I can't support that
