ESPN Ranks Lebron as the best #1 pick ever. Do you agree?

You're changing the criteria of this discussion.

The question is "who's the GOAT #1 draft pick?"

Kareem, Magic, Shaq, Kareem, and Hakeem all beat LeBron soundly.

The #1 pick only matters to the team that used the draft pick to select them.

The choice of LeBron as #1 pick has benefited Cleveland more than any other #1 overall pick in NBA history:manny:

more than lew in milwaukee? both have 1 championship and lew won 5 mvps compared to brons 2 in cleveland

On the court:

The Bucks went to only 2 NBA Finals with KAJ

The Cavs have been to 4 NBA Finals (yes, im already counting this one) with LeBron:manny:

Off the court:

Cleveland, itself, has also witnessed (:sas2:) a renaissance under LeBron James as a city due to the millions of $$$ brought in to watch LeBron apply his craft at the highest level. Did Milwaukee benefit financially as the city of Cleveland has with LeBron? Nope:yeshrug:

LeBron is the clear choice. It's not even a hard decision:ehh:

how is Hakeem a better #1 overall than Bron? lmao

are you being serious? Dream in his second season beat the defending champion lakers and took 2 games from a top 3 team all time in the 86 celtics. He was railroaded by cokehead teammates and injuries.

Your not moving the goalposts far enough because Magic and Duncan have him beat even in your made up criteria.

Wasn't there an article saying lebron brings in like over 100 mil in revenue to the city of Cleveland a year

All those guys yall mentioned were kinda drafted into fortunate situations

The cavs wasn't shyt before lebron got there :why: they had a decent team in the early 90s and that was it basically it

you can't compare financials of the nba from the 70s to now :mjlol:

Lew had an aging big O then he left, and mgmt never got the neccessary talent for Lew to succeed while he was the best player in the league. He had to contend with the lakers in the west with wilt and other great teams.

Not to mention Lew played 6 season in milwaukee and won 5 mvps and went to 2 finals.

Explain to me how Magic Johnson's selection revived life into the city of Los Angeles?:ohhh:

Explain how Duncan did the same for San Antonio?:ohhh:
