Regarding Tim Legler he probably isn't as committed to ESPN as they would want him to be. The fact that he has made it known he wants a head coaching job probably put the higher ups off. That or his face lift is still looking

There’s a reason for that.

Most NFL fans are interested in actual football games, including the majority of the causals. Unfortunately, most NBA fans - even a lot of the diehard ones - are more interested in the gossip and the off-seasons and stats and arguing Bron vs Jordan than they actually care about the actual games. Hell, you could figure that out by just using The Coli as an example.

NFL fans like football talk. NBA fans like stan wars and free agency.
