ESPN replaces "The Jump" with the "NBA Today"

Good move?

I think they are better off staying away from TV so the NBA doesn't try to water them down
I'm surprised the NBA/Silver lets them get away with so much on that channel
Frank, Brian, Amin, Eddie and Termany are no holds barred on their criticism and they let the callers pretty much say anything they want also outside of cursing
Why would Silver and the league stop them when they let ESPN and TNT go ham on the league -in a different fashion of course- but their commentary is way more legit and to the point, less gossipy, and more about what happens on the court.

Of course they’d pick the safe option in Greeny :mjlol:
Jesus. There has to be some fukking way for the TNT crew to get subcontracted to Disney/ABC for the finals. Every year it’s beyond disappointing and anticlimactic to go from having TNT in the playoffs to the spoiled milk that is espn/abc broadcasts

whats the deal with ESPNs fascination with Greeny?

He's always been their default go to talent that you give a gig to as he always plays it safe and you don't have to worry about him causing controversy. He's the complete opposite of Le Batard, which is why everyone went :patrice: when they gave him his old radio spot after he left.

Personally, I don't think that Greeny is that bad, but I do think he'd more so be a fit on the news side of things rather than the sports world.

If you want serious NBA discussion you gotta get Sirius XM and listen to the Sirius NBA Channel. There's about 3 shows back to back from 8am-4pm pacific time every single day and they go in on everything NBA related with rarely any gossip shyt. I even wish NBA TV would simulcast one or two of their shows -The Eddie Johnson/Justin Termany Show preferably- in the morning since they really have no programming. But that's the apex of hearing really good NBA talk and analysis theses days
About to use my Sirius XM 3 month free trial just for this :jbhmm:

In the 1st episode, they already showed more analysis than the entire Jump's history. Having them talk about the game during segments is nice, hoping they keep it up. Show is kind of chaotic though, too much going on..Malika moving back and forth got me tired :pachaha:

Also just wished they added some new voices, not a fan of the same exact crew
