Oh you're the expert on human behavior now?

Let's see, people put review scores on tv, movies, music, games, books, etc. They've been doing it for decades!
Online? Yeah its the norm because its been a flawed system for many many years. NOBODY really talks like that in person though.

I would like to say that I am an expert in human behavior as its something I studied and constantly have to tell nerds that they are focusing on things that aren't natural.

Well let me let you in on a little something. I studied human behavior too. I have a master's in psychology. People like numbers.

They do like numbers, to justify their purchases.

The MAJORITY don't talk like that in person and you know it.

I don't know how you can say that. People have been using quantitative scales forever. Rating things is very normal

Either way, I created a little study thread here in the arcadium.

We will be able to break it down further after that. You are unquestionably wrong, people don't communicate in that robotic ass way. I used to watch movies on a week in and week out bases and never overheard anyone breaking down movies on a number scale in NYC.

I find that very hard to believe. I hear people put things on a 10 scale all the time!

hmmm....two review sites doing this does not make a trend
Steam added the section showing the like/dislike percentage, YouTube has as well.

Reviewers and even giantbomb has talked in depth about it, the old models are changing for a reason.

And what are those reasons?
