Wrong there is a reason why computers don't use Gddr5 as system ram because it has poor latency compared to DDR3/4 system ram. Its a trade off. And the cpu is basically the same between the two stop talking BS.

Yeah I think this will mean that there will be some amazing games but they will be all quick time events. The better the graphics the more noticable the latency.

:pachaha: this thread. xbots are so lost even the corp heads are spinning out of control

News: Xbox One exec says Sony PS4 tech specs are "meaningless", games more important - Xbox 360 - The Official Magazine

also to add injury to insult to prove xbots don't even read

Bandwidth is at a premium in the Xbox One owing to the slower DDR3 memory employed in the console, which does not compare favourably to the 8GB unified pool of GDDR5 in the PlayStation 4. The 32MB of "embedded static RAM" within the Xbox One processor aims to make up the difference, and was previously thought to sustain a peak theoretical throughput of 102GB/s - useful, but still some way behind the 176GB/s found in PlayStation 4's RAM set-up. Now that close-to-final silicon is available, Microsoft has revised its own figures upwards significantly, telling developers that 192GB/s is now theoretically possible.

:heh:

All this is in theory...

Same with the 176g/s in the ps4. The sweet spot for both will be around 130 I bet. The real difference is honestly gonna be in efficiency because numbers leave too much to theoretical thinking. Just like ps4 uses gddr5 ram ms uses ddr3 in conjunction with move engines which we don't know how much faster that makes the ram. Also supposedly they both use a similar gpu except the ms gpu is custom, meaning it may be more optimized for console usage, but it could be weaker. There's too much guesswork to say which system will be better until we actually see. I say this because from what we've seen so far, there isn't a difference except for what developers themselves are limiting themselves to do.

I'm just looking to see what ps4 crazies will say. I know everything said about ps4 is on point anything pro xbox is a lie... makes sense :comeon:

well considering xbox one games are already running smoother than PS4 versions this is only more fuel to the fire that this next gen will be a repeat of last one......Playstation supposedly has more "horse power" on paper but Xbox games are the one's that actually perform better and more efficient
i'm going to keep saying this until the soldiers on both sides stop shooting.

this happens every single new console release.

sony has the better tech specs
but MS ends up coming out the game faster with how devs will use their system to develop games. and its execution of the game when played by a gamer.

in a couple of years or so, the ps4's hardware will be truly realized. then you will start to see games where in your opinion you will have to lean towards ps4 as far as which version of the same game is the best.

xbox comes out swinging,
ps4 keeps it steady and stutters a little.

xbox takes rounds 1-6, ps4 takes rounds 7-12. at the end of the fight its even.
