This is stupid. You gonna have a company that employees 3 million people and pay them all over $50,000 dollars a year? What business is this?
It's gotta start somewhere breh. Egypt wasn't built in a day and all that. If it was up to some of you there'd never be a reason for a kid to pick up a basketball because he won't be as good as Michael Jordan tomorrow so why even try.

I mean, yeah group economics is the macro, but it's just the result of networking on the micro. You see group on LinkedIn and when you go you bring 2 or 3 with you and keep multiplying and building a rapport and camaraderie eventually you nikkas are gonna begin to formulate a formal plan to achieve goals that further the interests of your group. If y'all ain't on that:mjpls:, like how most Black business alliances end up being, your success will maturally have a rippling effect on the African-American community as a whole.

I guess this is what Black fraternities could've become, but once again, the:mjpls: usually begins with the first generation that grows up outside the Black community in :smugfavre: suburbs.

Dude...Most companies and employers see blacks as a liability

They think we're lazy, will come in late, won't be professional at all, just want to play all day, have no work ethic, etc...they never judge any other group by this based criteria.
Ironically, in professional work settings, cacs are all that and more.

Gotta walk before you crawl. Who is starting up a business with no expertise and money? And most importantly no customers. People really think once you start a business customers are going to fall out the sky.

You gotta start somewhere, I don't see myself working for someone at 40 or 50 years old, but at 20 and 30 years you gonna have to make money and get your affairs in order.
People forget Phil Knight had a freaking job.

I feel ya.

I'm a natural overachiever. I've always been 110% at everything I do.

It really burns white people's souls when a black person does better than them at anything...I've experienced it so many times.

Like yourself I already decided corporate America was not for me. I only liked the money it could provide but I just couldn't deal with the people in it just like I couldn't deal with all of those a$$holes douchebags and jerkoffs in college. I knew what I was good at and was willing to live bunny and sacrifice certain things I had gotten used to to get there.

It sad that we have to deal with people that genuinely hate us and don't want us to succeed for our basic tenets for survival (food, clothing, shelter). This is why I just hate corporate America with a passion.

People may say I'm overtly idealistic and not thinking in terms of reality but my mental health and sanity is more important than any amount of money.

Bless

This was the greatest lesson I learned in corporate Amerikkka. I'm glad I got it in my early 20's as opposed to my 30s. Would have wasted so much time. I can always change my lifestyle to fit my income but I can't be insane and be happy. Might work for some but not me.

Those degrees aren't the greatest to be striving for in this market but I talk about this ALL the time with my homies.

This is something of the realest shyt ever. I'm in a place in my career where I do see anyone with my skin color doing what I do. Then again, I went to school for something that I knew was going to pay off as in an MBA in healthcare management.

What do you do?
