Before the ghostwriting...shyt scratch that, not even just ghostwriting but straight up stealing records from artists, putting gag orders on them and shyt, I was willing to respect his fans and how they felt about him and his run. Because regardless of how the core placed him, he was and still is going to be a noteworthy artist just based on impact and popularity. I like to fukk around and make jokes off him but I'm not REALLY a hater like that. I'm perfectly fine with admitting that this or that artist could not be my cup of tea but still understand the appeal and respect the fans.
Majority of cats here may not have seen it that way but the notion that nobody took him serious as a lyricist/MC is false...and that credibility is what really allowed him to do what he's doing now if you ask me..and it's pretty much SHOT at this point.
By Drakes own assessment of his career his goal was to be respected as an artist, not to just be a product. I personally can't respect his artistry after seeing how he curates/cultivates his "art" from other people.
