Event Horizon was a real missed opportunity

Cooper had me dying throughout the movie and was the only black man to survive a space and horror movie.
"You want something hot and black in ya"
Don't know why he's labeled as unlucky in this YT video. Luckiest man in the whole movie.

Any other movie he would've been a goner like the doctor in Deep Impact or Max from Armageddon. But him surviving and finding a way back was hilarious so I'm glad they did it that way.

Event Horizon hit different. Folk went in watching this like it was gonna be some space opera shyt. Then it went and didn't stop.

Don't think it's too wild to say it did what Alien did when that dropped. Just that was a Haunted House in space movie

You're missing my point. I like what the film is about, I just think it wasn't well executed given the potential of the premise. The horror was a letdown given that the ship literally returned from Hell after a decade and I was expecting more than what was shown.
