i looked up at her like and she started smiling.

she was the quiet shy type so she sent another note saying that if i told my homeboys that she would put a hex on me.

Right. It doesn't bother me if a white person labels a sista they're feeling as "this black chick." I don't see it as racist. I just see it as them as pointing out the fact that the person they are attracted to is not their skin color. Just like I'd tell my homies if i was into this Japanese chick that "This Asian girl bout to get it tonight" but wouldn't highlight the fact she is black if she was. It's expected that I would be getting it in with a black girl because that's what I usually like and that's my people.

If my white jewish friend says he's getting it in with this "hot chick" tonight, my mental image automatically paints it as a white girl. If he says it's black or hispanic, then and only then does that mental image shift. The same should be expected of blacks, but this is far rarer of a case because there is a huge amount of self hating uncle toms amongst us...many who are black in appearance but white in mind. They see being attracted, interacting with/being friends with a black person as a rare and unlikely case, so they highlight that with a prefix. "This black kid today had the coolest Jordans on." "The black chick who waved at you was hot man."

To me, prefixing the color of their skin is usually done to exemplify a outlier to the norm. White people do this, Asians, hispanics, etc, but they don't do it for THEMSELVES nearly as much as blacks do it. At least not from my observation. It's subconscious self hatred/embracing the idea of black inferiority that we are known for.
