Technically don't most African Americans have white names:troll:?

It depends on what you consider a White name. Some so-called White names are not even from White countries. Not only that, but some names have been anglicized so some people have lost track of what the name originally was to begin with. Case in point was when the Fulani or Mandingos were captured in warfare in Africa and sold into slavery in the USA; their names were anglicized.

The Mandingos were very good at anglicizing the names of their children:
Suliman, became Soloman;
Musa, became Moses;
Fili, became Phyllis;

There are a bunch of other names like Jemmy, Jack and others that were the anglicized version of Mandingo and West African names; but they have been lost to time.

No dude from Africa is going to name his child Chad because it means lake in the local language. Different from the welsh/english name.
Which African language is that?:usure:

You mean to tell me " Chad" is universal across all African languages as "lake"?
Do you know how many African languages there are?:what:

Most Africans in the western hemisphere have white names... I guess there are "uber white" names but this dichotomy always killed me, let's not act like "Michael" or "Jason" are traditional African names.
Amen!!!

I'm I'm still waiting for somebody to respond to my first post on this topic. I want to know at what point did " black people" deciide that they were taking over euro names like Michael, Chris, and Tyrone.

I used to get beat up by a nikka named Brad :mjcry:

Then I used to work with a white dude named Jerome.

I'm like :what:

Everybody was calling him Jerry, I end up seeing his real name on some shyt and turns out It's really Jerome.

It's kinda ironic because Jerome is one the most french names you can find. Never met an African (in Africa or in Europe) named Jerome.

I know 4 a fact tht africans didnt name those countries... hell africa is named after africanus, a roman general

There are various origins of the name "Africa", most of them coming from words/names in local languages that were europeanized. That Roman general got "Africanus" added to his name once he went to Africa and defeated local armies.

Well I don't think that you know how Chad got its name. Chad (Tchad) means water in one of the local African languages of people that live around what is Lake Chad.

Which African language is that?:usure:

You mean to tell me " Chad" is universal across all African languages as "lake"?
Do you know how many African languages there are?:what:

He said "local languages", as in local to the region. It's in Kanembou.

Again, Tyrone is a European name. Europeans are white. Why do black people feel they own it?

One of my best friends is named Brad and there was another cat we went to school with whose name was Bradford as well. Think it's more common than you'd think.
