Well I don't think that you know how Chad got its name. Chad (Tchad) means water in one of the local African languages of people that live around what is Lake Chad.

Dudes from Africa name their kids "Goodluck" and shyt like that. So Chad ain't that bad.
Some names are not Cac names, but Cacs use them over and over; so the names become associated with them. John, Mark, Luke, Mary and names like that are likely not Cac names. A lot of names have been shortened and/or Anglicized.

Can someone explain to me how in the U.S. they came about viewing some obviously European names as black names where as some are views as strictly whit names?
Like Michael or Mike or Tyrone and so on are all european names from what i understand. Black americans have invented some of their own names in order to distinguish themselves over the years. But how did (let's say) Tyrone go from white european to almost exclusively black whereas names like Brad as one poster suggested would be a white name? Both european IMO. Is it just a matter of those euro names being very common in the black community. Were these names relinquished by white americans as they became more popular among blacks?
