I know a girl who hiked to the basecamp. For the life of me I can't understand why people put themselves in situations like this as weather becomes increasingly more erratic.

I hate to say it, but I don't think they should try and send a rescue party. It's dangerous enough climbing up there, but now they have to deal with the weather and injured people.
The long term policy has been to abandon dead bodies, this is looking like a potential mass death event. Hopefully none of the rescuers die but we kinda know this is a last resort situation in a blizzard

shyt is crazy. The AEW wrestler Darby Allin went up earlier in the year - he talked about one section of the final ascent where you had no choice but to step on a dead body that was basically part of the path now. :huhldup:

Hope everyone manages to get themselves off... sounds terrifying.
