I've read that shotguns are good for home protection but I want a handgun too. Gonna cop a biometric safe too.

Shotguns and pistol or just rifle. If someone's hiding behind your loved ones a shotgun is not an option. At least with the pistol option you can take the shot, if u have the balls.

Rifle provides same benefits of accuracy.
