all of them dropped pretty disappointing projects though. The general reception was like that for all those projects too, except for maybe bryson cause it's too early to tell.

:mjlol: joe has never sold a lot of records, why would he be upset that he's not relevant musically now?

If you are in any industry and you think you are better than someone but they get more praise and credit then you, wouldn't you feel a way? I think he was cool when it was Nas and Jay and whoever else running around, but once Mumble rap and swag rap took over, he got much angier. And I think that's one of Joe's other "disguises".....on Everyday Struggle anytime DJ Akademics tries to hit him back by saying he's washed or never sold, he always says something like "I never was popular so why would I care". It's a deflection if you ask me :manny:

Yea but rap fans do that lol (i do) .. we don't have to be loyal as fans. I do it all the time .. I champion for a rappers work if I fukk with it and when they drop something I think is subpar :francis::francis: I roll off :russ::yeshrug:

I'm wrong for it?

I'm obviously a Chance fan. I think Coloring Book is amazing. If the next project he drops isn't as good, I'm not going to go ham on him. I would still be a fan, and just say I don't like the project. Joe even went as far as to say him and Drake were "friends", and yet he jumped the fence for podcast ratings on the I hate views episode :manny:

Every one of this albums was average tho? and Joe hasn't cared about selling records in more than a decade?

:gucci:

If he sold records, he's have a different opinion. It's easy to say you don't care about something you can't do. I don't care about being 7 feet tall and able to dunk:wow:

All names that are brought up way too much and it's been boring for a minute. Topics are getting stagnant now, it's basically just the same shyt over and over

These nikkas actually liked Bryson's generic ass album?

I swear these nikkas like anything that's new :hhh:

I expect Ak to dikkride anything new and hyped up, but Joe is disappointing me with his assimilation
Lol?
you acting like the shyt is unlistenable. It sounds like his last album.

Exactly and thats what irritates me about him. He doesn't know shyt and doesnt care to know shyt. Power of The Dollar wasn't even a mixtape. 50 Cent Is The Future was what put him on the map. He totally forgot or didnt know shyt about the Sqad tapes. SQ4 is what made people pay attention to Wayne and start taking him serious as an MC. I'm pissed no one mentioned The Clipse We Got It 4 Cheap series. This nikka mentioning Chief Keef and some other shyt that shouldn't even be brought up. He had no idea and was totally lost when R&B was brought up. fukkin sad b/c Nadeska seemed more hyped. he just cosigned and said yea that's a good one knowing he's clueless on R&B.

Dude is like 28 :mindblown:
I just see slim as a Drake & mumble rap curator

these episodes kinda getting stale.

They need to do more than just talk about whats happening. the best parts of the show are when they revisit things, such as classic albums and mixtapes

I wouldnt mind a week dedicated on the eras of hip hop (80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s) :ehh:

I understand his age but he chooses to talk about topics he has little knowledge of. If you heard his interview on Brilliant Idiots he admitted he didnt really get into hip-hop until Dipset came along and listened to mostly dancehall. I'm just saying at 28 I could have real good discussions when it came to hip hop past and present especially in the barbershop and with my friends. He just talks in circles for the most part and does those weird hand gestures.

Akademiks doesn't know a damn thing about Hip-hop music, to actually have a real conversation.

well then lets talk about some real shyt like who out of the top legends since 2000s (50, em, wayne, kanye) are making the best and worst music.

those convos would relate to a wider audience. No one wants to hear convos about KRS one :dead:

Its literally the same show every day, when they don't have a guest.

Joe's like the athlete u always wanted to meet that ends up being a c*nt.

I'm disappointed I was such a huge fan. His music got me through some shyt.

Listening to him on these platforms is cringe worthy more times than not. Can't even hear his music the same smh

Ya I love the pod but he's always had my side eye over all the domestic issues. I saw his LAHH season again recently and being more savvy to reality editing now it's so obvious they cut around him dragging the shyt out of Raqi at his pool party. You can see Mal freaking out trying to stop him. He's really lucky Mona caught heat about violence and protected him/her.

I'm happy that Joey found his lane though. nikka's one of my favorite rappers ever , but he made some depressing ass music from Mood Muzik to Padded Room. He was really going through it and not to Say shine and money heals all wounds ,but he seems to be in a better place with his new found fame.
