Lmaoi dont take it completely out of the convo,but you cant take everything else out either...you gotta factor in image,visibility,how recognziable and known you are among all demographics.
I look at sales and I just see nikkas like J Cole and KEndrick are just smart when it comes to tapping into ignored demographics who ACTUALLY still purchase music....they appeal to older audiences,older black males,more mature females,black women in general,and rap nerds.
That doesnt make J Cole more recognizable than Future,even people who hate Future know Future breh
Future has waaaaaaay more hits than god damn J Cole and I'm sure he has more youtube views than J Cole.
Somebody who has as many hits as Future,just naturally would be a bigger star than god damn J Cole.....the sales not matching just means Future needs to do some work in appealing to audiences that purchase albums,or else he'll have to continue to have big sales numbers based on streams.
I'd argue Migos probaly bigger stars than J Cole at this point.

. Y'all never acknowledge how big Cole really is. Almost everybody who know Future, know of J Cole. And among people that are 30 and up Cole is much more popular(hip hop is not just for the young anymore). Just because you don't like his music don't mean he is not a superstar. Cole have a huge fan and loyal fanbase. Your album don't go platinum in this era without being a superstar. With that being said I do think Future is a superstar. I think Joe is tripping saying that he is not. I do agree that neither Future or Cole are Mega stars.
Future must have smashed Cyn before or something.
