i plan on taking the tesol program this year..part of my new year resolution, plus its only 100 academic credit hours..so worth it
imagine teaching english in Brazil that would be dope as fukk
and my english is not even that good
China is also another place where English teachers are sought big time, from what my boy tells me, you don't necessarily need to speak perfect English to teach in Asia, because you'll just be repeating a lesson plan and they want someone who speaks English clearly.
Brazil is in desperate need of English teachers right now, shyt is crazy.

i have a friend who got a english teaching position at jeddah saudi arabia..lives in a nice compound..gets paid 4k a mth no tax..allowance,no rent house and gets a 1mth vacay paid
i mean its saudi arabia but them dudes are living nice life
I have a minor in English and an education degree. What other qualifications are there for a position like that? When I was leaving college, one of my advisors kept pressing me about China and teaching abroad. Hmmm... 
For China if you want to teach all you really need is TEFL, if you want to teach @ an international school you'd need a teaching license, and they pay more. I've read that black people get paid less, but that's to be expected in such a culture, even then you'd still make enough to save more than you would here which is crazy when you think about it. I think the average salary is around $1500 a month, but that sometimes includes an apartment provided for you for free, and then the cost of living being so low...well you make out well. With your background, you'd probably have a shot at an international Academy.
@Tommy Knocks would know more than me, but I've heard enough from people that it can be great once you get over the culture shock. And the fact you're not Asian means you'd eat on some King Kong shyt with the women.
