Might be my interpretation then...

Can't really name the tracks as i listen to the album as a whole without looking at the list so from memory i would go "one way to stay alive DON'T DIE","six milion ways to die i chose none". Could imply that he looks at life as a choice, which is not to say that hes discussing his own demise necessarily through this but more as something everybody could struggle with at some point.

Will say that i def disagree with the album being SUPER optimistic or maybe by EV standards but otherwise he's been through some things and i personally believe that can be felt through what hes putting out for the world...
Damn I can see what you mean now. Maybe so bro

Much like vol. 1 this is a heavy listen, but one that is undeniably good. For me this will propably end up like the first one, in that I will cop the vinyl because it's a great work of art that hits me emotionally, but propably won't listen to it all that much.

I didn't care for Evidence at all when he was in Dilated Peoples, but after 2018 or so he became one of my favorite rappers and writers. He can write and he can make it sound good. It makes me think that I might've missed some good songs from his earlier solo projects.

Yeah bro. Check out Weatherman. Layover. Cats & Dogs. All before 2018 and all fire.

Surprised you like so little of this if you fukk with Vol 1 at all. To me they're very similar in sound, besides the first one feeling a little bit darker. I will say that Vol 1 took a couple weeks to grow on me and I was kind of disappointed by it the first week.

I listened to Vol. 1 and 2 in one sitting, trying to put into words why I prefer 1 to 2.

To me, there's a variance in the production from song to song on Vol. 1 that I don't get on Vol. 2. That variance keeps it feeling lively, even if Ev's flow and subject matter is close to the same on both volumes.

Sharks Smell Blood, Pardon Me, Won't Give Up The Danger, Talking to the Audience, Lost in Time, All Money 83... all are more interesting and varied production as "songs" than anything on Vol. 2. At least to my ear and to my taste, which won't be everyone's. So that keeps me more engaged.

And flowing straight into Vol. 2, the sleepy and sombre ending to Vol. 1 just continues, and it rarely picks up.

Basically, Vol. 2 is paced like the end of an album, but from the start and most of the way through.
