Yeah, I like the production credits on this one more overall than the last one. More beats from Ev, Sebb, and Alc. Graymatter is fire. Conductor is dope. I was hoping to see one from Nottz or Khrysis but it's all good.

Features look dope. Was hoping for another Boldy but, Blu and Ev always kill it together, and Larry and Ev killed it last time. We finally get another Step Bros song. I like that this one is light on features and looks like it's mostly solo tracks.

Yeah would have loved to see Boldy on here again, but I can live with it given the strength of everything else

Why stunt an albums potential by calling it the same as one of your others? It's not that album, you're not that same person, it never ends well, people always compare the two.

Unless it's for marketing purposes. Ahhh. :francis:

Im actually on board with this artistic choice if this was always the plan and naming the previous Volume 1 shows that it was

Common better bring the second installment of the Pete Rock collabos under Vol. 2 as well, hate when they release only a first volume.

Do have a problem with the cover being so similar though, when i saw it posted i thought it was same as the first one, get that its a concept buuuuut a bit too much in my opinion

Hoping for a dope release, EV is possibly the emcee that grew on me the most from the first time i heard him, usually its the other way around, great few albums and Faaaaaaaaal off

It sounds like I'm hating, unlearning is something he's done already, song and an album.

When Raekwon did OBFCL II it was a good album, but it wasn't OBFCL, so it's downgraded by default as a result because of the unnecessary comparison.

Interested to see how the conductor beats sound in sequence with alc and EV beats. Tbh I don't think he's in the same league as those two with his production but maybe I'll be proven wrong

I’m not usually a fan either, but he said before the last one that his intent was to do several “Unlearning Volume 1,2,3,etc” albums, the same way he had weatherman, cats and dogs, and weather or not in his Weather series.

A big giveaway is that nothing is ever called part 1 if there isn’t a plan for a part 2. If he just called it Unlearning and this one was suddenly part 2 then it’d be kinda lame

He also has no wack solo albums so I trust it

I’m Curious too. He might pick an unconventional one. The Daringer one on the last album sounded way different than most Daringer ones. The Nottz and Khrysis ones too sounded different than most of their stuff

Same with his instrumental albums. Squirrel Tapes is various volumes, and then he also had the "colour" tapes (Red tape, Yellow tape...).

He might just really like a concept and decide to stick with it. Makes sense given how consistent he is.
