Only tangentially related but I was listening to an old Lootpack joint from '98 and Evidence said, "2020 no doubt will be a strange year"![]()

I've said this half a dozen times on here, but I used to really dislike him as a rapper. Like, he was easily one of my least favorite emcees on the underground scene in the early 2000's. He bored the fukk out of me, and I only listened to early Dilated albums for Rakaa. I'd never guess in a million years that he'd end up being one of my favorite artists in the game, and as a solo artist at that? And that Rakaa would have basically just retired quietly? No way. It's been great seeing Evidence get better, one of the few MC's who improve year to year, great beatmaker too, crazy when I think back to hearing him on Defar's 1st LP, time fukking flies.

EDIT: And the crazy shyt is that Ev's entire movement and solo career was inspired by Big Pooh from Little Brother and his Sleepers solo project. @old boy
