1. Exactly people often miss that and it gets annoying as hell. I understand why people think Mexican when they hear "Hispanic" but that doesn't make it right.

2. Brazilians speak Portuguese not Spanish. Just because a person is from a Latin american country doesn't mean they speak Spanish. There are English, Dutch, Portuguese, and yes Spanish speaking countries in "Latin america". Just like a person speaking Spanish doesn't mean they are from "Latin america". There are Spanish speaking countries in the Caribbean also.

Anglophone = English speaker
Francophone = French speaking
Hispanic = Spanish speaking
