Y'all my ass. You're the ones jumping in here telling people the only reason people play games on release is FOMO.I don't know why y'all gotta be so all or nothing, I didn't say no one can, and I didn't say it was for online clout. You interpreted it that way.
I simply said the way people buy and play games would be different if they couldn't get online and talk about it before and during the release.
The fact you and ya boy twisted that to something is crazy. You think these social media "influencers" and personalities are getting codes for games just because?![]()
Correct, so there's no need jumping in here talking about FOMO and wait for 2 years, etc. I get your point, but to say "The only reason you're playing that is because it's on PS is goofy.
but they were out on PC with the expectation that they should be superior to the console version. Why wait for the "superior" edition and then still have to wait because something was broken?
and? I still enjoyed the game on PS5, even with the blurry performance mode because I played it on quality mode at launch which was fine. Crashing on Returnal didn't happen to me to where I noticed it. I think the game crashed on me once or twice in my hours of playing. It also had the same issue on PC.
Okay? It comes with the territory. You can't have your cake and eat it too on consoles. Even on PC you can't, you just have the option to spend more which is being left out of the convo. I can play Claire Obscure at 4K/ 60+fps on my PC, but my GPU alone cost more than PS5 Pro. I know what to expect on a console.
This is video games we're talking about. Not every game or hardware is a rushed product that is better if you wait. Imagine if you waited to buy a Series X because "patience is rewarded", now that shyt is more than a PS5 Pro.
There was a benefit, I enjoyed it the hell? I don't care about FFXVI anymore to play it again. How is this even a conversation? You can say it's zero benefit to play any game at launch because you can wait and play something else. Why even play games? You can wait till 3 more years to get an even stronger build and play games at 8K, 240fps. Them SNES nikkas lost, I'm playing Super Mario in 4K.
I know. it's been going on for years nowYou joke but there are literally ppl on here who don't game on PC but stay talking about "I'll just get on it on PC"
because I want it when I want it. You're bringing money into the mix as if people are complaining about $70 games. If I was someone constantly complaining, I'd just wait. People who complain about prices of games are the main ones that should wait for it to be cheaper.Exactly.
So what reason do you have to pay more money for a product you know will be cheaper and better in the future?
Correct, so there's no need jumping in here talking about FOMO and wait for 2 years, etc. I get your point, but to say "The only reason you're playing that is because it's on PS is goofy.
Idk where you're getting all that
It's absolutely FOMO.
Especially how console heads will spite themselves tobeta testplay these games early while the PC version gets exclusive features in a definitive version in a year.
There's more games releasing than time to actually play them too.
This is “hype” “fomo” “passion” or whatever you want to call it.because I want it when I want it.
Let's be honest, this "hype/fomo" narrative was recently drummed up by The Mad Titan as a way to down play Sony games. I don't see him saying that about any third party games, it's only hype/fomo when it comes to exclusive games on PS5.This is “hype” “fomo” “passion” or whatever you want to call it.
You know the game will be better and cheaper later but you want it NOW.
That’s ok and that’s your choice. Some games get me too.
I don’t have a problem admitting it.
But if you take a step back and look at the industry, a lot of the wack stuff these companies get away with is only because they can drum up enough hype/fomo for people to accept it.
Like i said before once you step off the hype train your gaming life will get so much better![]()
1st off, it's nothing wrong with that.Y'all my ass. You're the ones jumping in here telling people the only reason people play games on release is FOMO.

Exactly, no one screamed FOMO when Clair Obscur or whatever that game is dropped, same with Oblivion. These talking points only come up with PS games.Let's be honest, this "hype/fomo" narrative was recently drummed up by The Mad Titan as a way to down play Sony games. A calculation PC gamers make all the time. There’s enough games to play, nothing wrong with waiting for the complete definitive version on PC![]()
