Exclusives are a GOOD thing and without it, gaming would be WORSE off.

Would you prefer a game not exist at all instead of it being exclusive?

  • Yes, I rather a game be exclusive and exist than to not exist at all.

  • No, I want games to be everywhere and to stifle creativity *hides Xbox logo on shirt*

  • :mjlol: Sony stans

If anyone begs to differ, feel free to explain here.

Exclusives are often touted as "Anti consumer" and bars gamers from experiencing titles as it's not on their favorite platform. That's often the thing said when certain exclusives are brought up. What these often slick, lying ass stans omit is that there's games that wouldn't exist AT ALL if it weren't for exclusivity.

Evidence:
Bayonetta 2 wouldn't have existed if Nintendo didn't pay for exclusive rights and fund the game.

BLOODBORNE wouldn't have existed if Sony didn't finance and publish it. Without Sony, it just simply wouldn't have existed.
Imagine if no one bought Playstation and Xbox anymore(Well Xbox is already having that happen), and then Sony started just putting their IPs on Nintendo's platform. Next God of War would be a 1080P, 30fps game that looks like a Gamecube game.

Spider-Man wouldn't have existed in the quality that it does had Sony not stepped in.

There's a bunch of other games that simply wouldn't have existed had it not been for Sony or Nintendo financing the project. Hell, even PC has exclusives. Why isn't Counter Strike 2 on consoles?

I feel like people who are against exclusives are just liars who say that when it's not their favorite platform with the exclusives e.g. Xbox fans.

Y'all are naive as fukk if you think gaming is going to turn into some single plane market where everyone will be at their creative best releasing things across all platforms in harmony.

Yeah game devs are just becoming more multiplatform because of twitter babble and not because its becoming more financially beneficial to do so.

I can bet you can't name many devs that were exclusively publishing on one platform and now are publishing everywhere.
