You have to go to an authentic steak house for a great steak .

I’ve been to gibsons / Morton’s / steak 48 / Ruth Chris etc and their steaks were good but not great .

Signature room in downtown chi on the 95th floor has THEEE Best steak i ever had .

Also different steak houses offer better cuts of certain steaks than others .

I’m a filet girl but sometimes I need a real good strip. Signature room got it for both .

I love fogo.

You’re going to gain 20 lbs off their all you can eat .

I just don’t care for their sides though .

What you think about dry aged compared to wet aged. The dry aged has a distinct “sourish” taste I don’t care for.

I do like the flavors dry aged provides slightly more. And imo it's more tender

But honestly from a great steakhouse can't go wrong with either

I can only speak for fogo de Chao but absolutely. $40ish for lunch/$60ish for dinner. They give you a lil thing that is like a stop side and you flip it to green if you want more, and red if you don't.

They just bring a constant selection of amazing meat to you. Great salad/meats/cheese/fruit selection.

Steaks besides the table side gets expensive; $100-150 for wagyu and $98 for dry aged, but they're meant for 4 people
I went to Rei Da Gado in San Diego back in 2019. shyt was so fire. Served your boy lamb and shyt:wow:.

Highly depends on the place. A ribeye cooked correctly at a nice steakhouse can’t be beat.

Contrary to whatever you believe, you don’t have the setup to cook steaks the same way they do.
Truth...plus the better steakhouses get access to the best cuts and most dining establishments use a fair bit more butter and salt than the average person does at home.

I've been to a lot of steakhouses and this just isn't true. You just can't beat a good steakhouse though I tend to avoid the overpriced stuff I don't care much about (apps, wine) and try to keep the bill at ~$200 for 2. And while I've tried tons of local high-rated steakhouses in a bunch of cities, a Ruth Cris NY Strip is still top 5 for me.

Stoney River is the best lower level elite steakhouse chain in the country. For $50 you can get a nice aged ribeye and two sides.


I’ve been to Morton’s, The Palm, Ruth’s Cris, Shula, McCormick and Smith, Del Frisco, Flemings, The Capital Grille and no steak was better than Stoney River.


Also Longhorn is generally mid. But the Longhorn in the Atlanta airport has the best ribeye and tbone I’ve ever had.

Hack for all my traveling brehs. The Longhorn Steakhouse in Hartsfield Airport 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Most restaurants are overrated. I'm from a family of multi-generation chefs/cooks. I'm also thankful for being raised country as fukk. We always bought whole/half/quarter cows for slaughter. Best meat on a cow is the shyt that don't usually get sold in restaurants anyway and that's hangers steak better know as butcher's steak.
