Just went to one for work and that shyt was bland and we had to share sides. 4 $90 a plate I expected better. It was good not great. If this came outta my own pocket I would’ve been pissed. Only benefit was not being around the poors.

Maybe I think it’s overrated because I don’t take pics of my food to make my friends jealous?
You don’t say :mjpls:

:hhh:

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Ricardo’s steak house in East Harlem is one of the best in nyc yet people swear the ones in midtown are where it’s at. I have never introduced someone to Ricardo’s steak house yet for them to be disappointed?

Btw is it Pierrot Rican owned or black owned?

I just found out about fogo de chao.. had no idea it was all you can eat. I'm gonna pull up for a birthday or something.

The only fancyish steakhouse I've been to was STK. It was mid.. the wine and sides were better than the steak, but i wasnt disappointed per se. I wanna try some others, but yeah in general I'd rather do a chain or a small time local steakhouse.

You have to go to an authentic steak house for a great steak .

I’ve been to gibsons / Morton’s / steak 48 / Ruth Chris etc and their steaks were good but not great .

Signature room in downtown chi on the 95th floor has THEEE Best steak i ever had .

Also different steak houses offer better cuts of certain steaks than others .

I’m a filet girl but sometimes I need a real good strip. Signature room got it for both .

I love fogo.

You’re going to gain 20 lbs off their all you can eat .

I just don’t care for their sides though .

Best steak I had was from a place called

Flemings here in LA off of Olympic

Fleming's is legit, but the best steak I ever had in LA is at this spot called Redbird over on 2nd and Main...wild because they don't even market themselves as strictly a steakhouse.

STK is overpriced garbage but the one in Atlanta has a nice ambiance.

Palm is a chain and not what I would consider a top tier steakhouse. They are normally overpriced cause they are located in hotels, not because the food is that great. I would put them on the same level as a capital grille and probably below a place like ruth chris. If you want a real top teir steak you will have to find a local upscale spot that's not a nationwide chain. Most major cities will have 1 or 2.

Me and my wife went there for our anniversary. That dry aged porterhouse house was like butter melting after each bite..

I also love Little Alley Steak in buckhead

What you think about dry aged compared to wet aged. The dry aged has a distinct “sourish” taste I don’t care for.

People keep saying this but it sound like cap
So y’all saying expensive steakhouses have trash week old steaks sitting around just waiting for somebody to order well done?
And what happens if no one orders well done steak?
Don’t make much sense from an inventory POV
After that 7th/8th day yeah it's going in the trash but if they have a cut that's been underorded and it's Day 5/6 that's what a well done order is getting instead of the newer meat. I haven't worked in a steakhouse but I have worked in restaurants and I can easily see that being done.
