People say this all the time but honestly, is pin point accuracy with a mouse more realistic than having to balance a joystick?

As someone that has shot plenty of guns in my life, while nether feels life like, a joystick mimics the difficulty of aiming and shooting a gun far better than the pin point accuracy of a mouse.

Guns have weight and kickback, balancing a joystick gives you that feeling much better than a weightless mouse.

Dafuq has any of this shyt got to do with anything? :deadrose:

That's why games like skyrim/fallout etc got HELLA sex & nude mods. nikkas got $2500 PC setups with NOOOO women in their life, why not mod your post-apocalyptic RPG to be filled with scandily clad Barbie lookalikes who will have sex with you with the click of a dialog option:mjlol:
So perverted neckbeardism is specific to PC now :mjlol:

The ONLY reason they don't have those creep mods on console is because Sony and Microsoft won't allow it :dead:

It's really not that serious.

If you are aiming to be competitive you will need to play with keyboard and mouse, also you need to play at a desk if this is the case, I dunno how you could play correctly otherwise.
Just chilling on the couch? Single Player? Or even a multiplayer that you just like to fukk around on...Just play with whatever you like.

If you like controller and you have no qualms with it, why are you forcing yourself to do anything else?

Arma is ultra realistic and kinda a extreme example.

Getting on target as accurately as you can with a mouse is not as realistic as having to balance a joystick on a controller. It takes alot more concentration to maneuver a joystick, mouse is all about twitch reactions.

playing with a controller hinders your accuracy. Its not even realistic either. Then you got auto aim so forget that. I thought controller was better then one day i played mw1 and never looked back. On PC the pace is faster so i like that alot. I like using controller for real time rpg games, but fps games were meant to be played with mouse and kb. But w.e works for you

Playing a FPS with a controller is nothing more than torture, no idea how anyway can stand it. And I was using controllers waaaaaaay before K/bm.
Just the idea of twirling the thumbstick around to look is still :russ: to me.

It CAN be done, but man is it so much better with a Mouse + Keyboard.

you talkin about "realistic military shooters" and "m16s fire like laser guns", but then Arma is an "extreme example" :heh:

point is how realistic a game's ballistics are has little to do with a mouse or joystick

keep thinking you're 'balancing' the joystick while aim-assist does all the work :youngsabo:

I understand this is considered the superior setup for accuracy. But how in the world can you STAND it!? I'm a 100% controller girl - if I can't curl under my blanket and play it, I can't be down with me. I know, however, that it means I've missed out on some great games. But I can't even seem to play k/m w/my wireless keyboard w/the touchpad on the side. Tried to do this w/Diablo III...tragic.

So how do you brehs w/the k/m setup sit when you play? Do you have to play at a table or is the keyboard on your knees, etc? Also, what gaming keyboard do you use, if any?

Diablo 3 actually isn't a good example because that game works VERY well with a controller as well as kb/m.

But for any real strategy game or shooter, a kb/m is just better.

Initially it will feel weird, like any new tactile experience, but once you've gotten comfortable with it, there's no comparison.

All I can say is I never even touched my controller to play Overwatch. It just felt instinctively better on KB/M. I saw videos of it playing on console and everything was so slow as far as aiming goes. I play pretty much most of my other games with a controller though.

The main advantages kb/m present is for precision aiming, movement and control. If I'm playing a shooter online, I'm using a mouse and keyboard. Any other games besides some form of RPG that has a large pool of spells/moves, I use a controller.

There's no real advantage of KB/M in shyt like a Dragon's Age or a Skyrim, and at that point it's comfort, and nearly 23 years of controller conditioning won't be wiped away because I spent the last 2 on PC, although I will say controllers feel more and more foreign to me the longer I stay away from them. My fightstick feels more comfortable than my PS4 controller nowadays.

Yea, you're right about keyboards not having a pressure sensor, but to compensate for this gave usually give us a 'walk slow' key(usually shift or ctrl), but this isn't a perfect substitute since you cant gradually increase or decrease your movement speed, but I think it works well for stealth games but probably not racing games.

Also what games only give you the toggle option for aiming down sights? Dont most PC games let you choose if you want to toggle or hold?
The slow walk key feels like a copout, I never use it... shouldnt have to press a key to move slow.

as for the ADS thing. there are a surprising number of games that do that... I know a few F2P FPS's do (AVA, Soldier Front, Battlefield Online, and a few others I cant remember) and there are some retail games that do it aswell, especially if they were released between 2000 - 2011.

It's crazy because I played Skyrim with a controller but Fallout is so much better with KB/M.

I'm actually going to make a thread talking about this. Been gaming on a controller for 25+ years and my first game with KB/M was Overwatch... going to debunk a lot of the bullshyt superiority complex that PC gamers have toward console brehs.

so because you are horrible at a fast paced video game that requires good aim and thats your only experience with keyboard/mouse you are going to debunk something thats been proven factual ? :jbhmm:

because you even make that horrible thread, why dont you post your overwatch stats first so we can laugh at them and know to not take your opinion serious on keyboard/mouse :pachaha:

I'm not horrible. I think I'm pretty decent for just picking it up. I've dropped gameplay footage doing work with multiple characters in the game.

The thread won't be made because I'm struggling with KB/M smart guy

:mjlol:

You really thought you were on to something huh?
