Your son is more likely to go pro in football than basketball unless you're blessed with height.

That said i would try to show my son other sports before football was brought up. You also gotta understand what type of mentally your kid has. Football is one of those sports that not everyone can play. Its not really about being tough really its hard to explain.. more like reklessness if yall get what i mean. Gotta be willing to go harder than the man across from you, when that 1 on 1 situation comes who is willing to hit harder? Thats why coaches always talking about put your body on the line for the team.

I will say football has more comeradery that basketball simply because the latter is a more individual sport. If your elite then others defer to you. In football even the best need their lessers to block for them.

But yea i would not deny my son football but if i see he does not have the mentality for it its not happening.

Yall letting these NBA contracts get to yall head.

If my son had the opportunity to make the kind of Money Harrison Smith just signed for then FUKK YEAH.

51 million with 29 million guaranteed, plus a 10 million signing bonus.

They may not be NBA or MLB contracts but they STILL shyt on 99.9 of the rest of the population.

People in here actually thinking their kid will go pro I any of these sports :mjlol:

The ol smarty dudes who just know better than anyone else. My kid to smart tonplay, I would never let him play.
The drill that's especially stupid is the one where two players lie on there back head to head, one player has the ball, and then they blow the whistle and the players get up and ram into each other. That situation never arrives in the actual game so I see no purpose to that drill whatsoever.
That was one of the funnest drills. Oklahomas.

Most people acting like they too smart for football are the p*ssys who were afraid to tackle and be tackled. If u played football u knew who those kids were. They usually played because their dad made them play.

It's funny to see all the, I would never let my son play blah blah etc. Then don't let him play, nobody gives a fukk. That's why there's tons of other sports to play.

I never suffered a serious injury in football, I broke my thumb playing basketball and got a slight concussion after landing on the hardwood during a game. shyt happens in every sport. One kid at our school took a baseball to the eye, lost sight in that eye. shyt happens.

we ain't talking global

and lots of people here shyt on that gay ass sport
You may not be talking global but I am

American football really isn't shyt in the grand scheme of things. That slave plantation ass sport complete with black men smashing their brains in for the enjoyment of a mostly white audience for non guaranteed pay

No NFL player is recognized outside of America

Also :mjlol: at you saying basketball fans are insecure about a more popular sport than you turn around and diss a much more popular sport

Personally wouldn't because brain damage is real. They need to do research on the extent of it from pop warner to high school. It might not touch playing until pro level but it's still brain shots :patrice:

if I ever have a son he'll be playing something else :manny:

Bullshyt. I've seen it with my own eyes. Luckily in that instance the coach recognized it. Most of these youth football coaches are Monday morning quarterbacks who don't know the first thing about player safety and didn't play the sport past middle school. They get more excited about head to head collisions than the kids. Cats spend all day slacking off at work just salvating over practice that night where they will have kids running a Bull In The Ring drill till they pass out.

The drill that's especially stupid is the one where two players lie on there back head to head, one player has the ball, and then they blow the whistle and the players get up and ram into each other. That situation never arrives in the actual game so I see no purpose to that drill whatsoever.

You never seen a player on defense meet the opposing RB in the backfield?

cuz it's the #1 sport and it makes them mad

why wasn't this thread made about ufc or boxing?

So you are insecure because True Football (not HandEgg) it's by far the #1 sport in the world... why does it make you mad?

Is it because there are no viagra commercials in True Football? And when you watch a sport you want to imagine an erected penis every 5 seconds?

If my son really wanted to play football and I didn't let him, then I'd be a bad father for not letting my son pursue his "manly" interests. And he may resent me when he gets older. I'd tell him the dangers of football such as concussions and injuries so that he's aware of his surroundings, then I'd let him go.

I legit wonder would you take this same approach if your son had some not so manly interest. Like he wanted to be a cheerleader, gymnast,or baseball player. Would you be open to letting him do his thing after giving him a speech about it so he wouldn't resent you.

I wouldn't encourage my son from a young age to play football, but if he wants to do it I wouldn't stop him. I'll definitely be playing basketball, baseball, and soccer with my son tho, hoping he picks one of those to play.
