only think i see overrated about kobe is his shooting percent dudes act like he shoots 50 percent kobe is a solid chucker average between 38-45 percent shooting
Of course coaches and players are going to praise Kobe. Every great player gets universal praise from all his peers and coaches. With the way the media attacks critical comments and tries to generate conflict, no one is going to put themselves in a position to tear down a player. I'm sure players and coaches all notice that Kobe takes a lot of bad shots, plays a lot of shoddy defense, and has a lot of excuses made for him, but why would they talk about that? How many players and coaches criticized LeBron for sucking in the 2011 finals? How many criticized Kobe for mailing it in against the Suns? It's just not something players and coaches are going to do.
fault..I don't enjoy watching Kobe.. He's a bizarro world, fraud MJ. I saw MJ and was amazed..
I'm not amazed at all by anything Kobe has done..ANYTHING
well millions disagree with you
he's not the most popular player in the world post-Jordan for no reason
you might not enjoy watching him play, but just realize in the world of basketball fans you are in the minority. Most of Kobe's fans enjoy watching him play because he reminds them so much of Jordan. Not a bizzaro fraud but as the closest we've ever seen to him.
the only basketball player more beloved in the history of the NBA is Michael Jordan

only think i see overrated about kobe is his shooting percent dudes act like he shoots 50 percent kobe is a solid chucker average between 38-45 percent shooting
Kobe has a career FG percentage of 45.5%. How can you say he's between 38-45 when his career average is above the high point you've pegged him at. Plus he's only shot below 45% for 4 years out of his 17 year career (with lowest being 41% as a rookie). The agenda in sports is laughable, I called this shyt when he got to 4 rings. The fact that he was compared to Jordan early on and didn't fail is the root of this and the fact that he is only 1 ring removed from MJ is driving force behind shyt like this. All these articles and "critiques" and "analysis" pieces serve one purpose, and that's to tear down Kobe so he is s less of a threat to Michael. Instead of telling the masses about everything Mike was, writers feel like they have to tell us everything that Kobe isn't. Kobe is 1 of the most offensively skilled players to ever play this game and people who played the game recognize his place in history. This shyt is getting old, enjoy this dude while you can and stop trying to secure the greatness of Mike at his expense, MJ doesn't need the help.
I've seen "Kobe ain't MJ" pieces and this ain't one. He mentioned Lebron more and rode Lebron's sack way harder. We really gonna act like Kobe hasn't gotten mad love from the media though?
That's just as bad as my man acting like he never caught any heat.
This is the damn problem.. You nikkas got force feed by the league that every hot shot swingman was the next MJ.. Kobe was the only one out of all of them that was actually good..
But he is not MJ no matter how hard he tries and what you nikkas think..
He's not even close..

This is a good article. I agree with a lot of what he is saying.
Kobe Bryant: Exposing the Myths, Bad Arguments, & Other Fallacies That Define His Grossly Inflated Greatness - CLNS Radio

Doc Rivers said this year Kobe is UNDERRATED. Its not just that he gets praise like any great player. He gets MORE praise from his peers than anyone we've seen since Michael Jordan. There are youtube videos filled with nearly every great player and coach in the NBA singing Kobe's praise. Especially from 05-08, when almost every opponent made a point of saying he was far and away the best player in the league.
Kobe is a top 10 player AT WORST and most likely will be top 5 by the end of his career. Anything short of that is HATING. Period.
Kobe has a career FG percentage of 45.5%. How can you say he's between 38-45 when his career average is above the high point you've pegged him at. Plus he's only shot below 45% for 4 years out of his 17 year career (with lowest being 41% as a rookie).
Plus, the main reason Kobe's fg% is low compared to dudes like Jordan is because he shoots more 3s. 33.3% shooting from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2 on a point for point basis. If you actually used his TRUE SHOOTING PERCENTAGE which is a combination of fg%, 3fg%, and ft%, you get:
Kobe: 55.5 TS% career
Jordan: 56.9 TS% career
so thats a difference of 1.4% between super chucker Kobe and super efficient MJ

If Kobe is so nice why can't he lead his team this year?
Them nikkas is trash while statistically Kobe is having a great season
That shyt makes no sense..
Why can't he carry his team?
