I’ve had this desire for almost twenty years. A Gitmo for civilian offenders of the worst, most senseless kind.
Seeing this tragic story on my feed earlier about a young mother being killed by a reckless driver this morning, plus other recent tragedies, has brought this idea back to the forefront of my mind lately. And the fact that the sh*t head who killed her walked away without a scratch also aided in my exploring this idea again.
Another young lady lost her innocent life the exact same way just a few days ago in Charlotte. Just riding along N. Sharon Amity minding her business and out of nowhere comes a reckless driver flying across the center line, killing her. And he, too, walked away without a scratch. Just another dipsh*t doing 80 down city streets for a cheap corny thrill, with zero regard for his lack of actual real technical driving skill, or for the lives of innocent ppl.
A month prior to that, a young lady killed 2 of her best friends who were riding passenger because she wanted to be “turnt up” flying down Freedom Dr. here in Charlotte. And it’s typically the same formula- drunk, stupid, and flying down the street at reckless speeds. And again, she gets to walk away with a just couple bruises on her forehead.
These crimes, as well as others, are why I have firmly believed that these people should not be imprisoned, but should I instead be shipped off to a deserted island that has minimal necessary infrastructure, and be forced to live their lives out amongst themselves til their dying days. These are people who are not fit to function in normal society, around normal civilized human beings.
The end game? It would take absolutely no time for the rate of violent crime and senseless deaths to decline dramatically in society. Not completely, but certainly a sharp and noticeable decline. And the difference in society and in every day life would be immediately evident.
It would have a positive ripple effect throughout the economy as well. The costs in our prison systems would decline. People will feel safer and will go out and enjoy life(spend money) more. And it would all be done at zero cost to the taxpayer.
This type of solution to madness, is the only way forward. People are getting out of hand and we can no longer “rehab” them. Nor can we continue to just wait for them to kill someone else to lock them away for good. Start doing it now, send the message, and watch the difference in society today and society one year from today.

- If you are reckless enough to go speeding through city streets with complete disregard for your own life, the lives of innocent motorists, AND the lives of any ppl you’re riding with, then you literally do not possess the necessary brain functionality and reasoning to be amongst normal civilized human beings. You are also the same reckless individual who would do something spontaneously tragic if you had a gun. You do not need to be in society amongst innocent people.
- Send all rapists, murderers, molesters, child abusers, terrorists, DUI offenders who cause injury or death, reckless drivers who cause injury or death, arsonists, armed robbers, mentally ill ppl who have refused treatment or who hasn’t improved via treatment(the homeless guy who killed the 70 nurse at the bus stop), terrorists, and all animal abusers to this remote deserted island in the middle of the pacific, and just leave them there. And I’m sure I’m missing plenty of other uncivilized crimes, but add those too. There’d be tens of thousands of offenders on that island within a month.
- There will be a constant military patrol maintained in the water around the perimeter of the island, and in the air. Anyone attempting to swim away or build a boat and float away etc etc, will be killed on sight.
- They are sentenced to simply just live there in the island, and die.
- They will have minimal infrastructure(that they must figure how to maintain) and that is all. They will not be given any aid, of any sort whatsoever, under any circumstances whatsoever. Hurricane threatening to wipe them off the map? So be it. Helicopter military patrol reporting outbreaks of cannibalism due to lack of resources on the island? Tell them to record it and post it to worldstar. That is the sentence for these crimes.
