I don't know why it's hard for people to see both sides of the coin.

Most African countries were under colonial rule until the 1960s. Many today are still under neo-colonialism with unbalanced trade for their resources, and political puppets who do the will of their previous colonizers. Why should anyone want to remain in a country by choice that is being ruled by oligarchs who are controlled from overseas? Also, the US isn't the only country that Africans emigrate to. Despite people who engage in degree mills (because their degrees from their home countries are not accepted), African groups tend to do quite well in actual stable environments; Nigerians being the most educated group in the US (which doesn't mean much seeing as though this group doesn't have a say in policymaking back home). That said, what is the need for all the finger pointing? Black immigrants actually help maintain the black demographic percentage wise in the US.
