my mom hates her said we we're on vacation out of state

my mom and pops literally called their jobs got some days off and we took a road trip that fukking night... to busch gardans va for a week.... literally on the spot vacation cause my mom aint want her in the crib

That makes it worse. I'm assuming you're first or second generation...as is your cousin.

Your parents(and mine) grew up in the culture where nobody saw anything wrong with arriving unannounced to family's house to visit for the day or stay for a few days.

Generation after that, who did not grow up there, HAS to know that this is bullshyt and inconsiderate. That shyt doesn't fly.

Keep the good parts of the culture, throw the backwards shyt away.

If you have fam in Europe, it can be even worse. In some of those countries , people have MONTHS for vacation...and MFers book flights and tell people that they're coming for 7 weeks.

They won't pass up a trip to stay in New York. It's Jersey,actually but to Haitians it's NEW YORK. hehehheheeh

I had to find this thread.

Had a cousin who never shows up to any family function here in NY, come up for his wife's family event. The whole family. They usually never come up because they never have any money and always looking to stay up in someone's house.

Aunt kept calling my mom all week to let her know he'll be in town. Mom is like

I call her today, and she's all out of breath talking about she has to get out the house, like she's gotta flee the country or something.

Apparently, earlier my cousin and his grown ass sons just rolled by unannounced, because the event was nearby, no one answered the door, and he took it upon himself to walk up in the backyard where he nearly scared my mother half to death.

So mom had to make plans real quick to leave the house, because they seemed like they had no place to "hang out" between whatever they were doing, and she didnt want to be bothered.

My cousin is staying out by my neck of the woods with his sibling, and now I gotta move stealthily around the neighborhood.


I operate like this, if I am in town, I stay in a hotel, and invite you to stop by or go out for dinner/lunch, etc (I pay) unless you invite me to your house.

Family knows not to.
The first and last time they tried...they were ringing the doorbell and banging on the door while we looked at them from the livingroom.
Kept banging on my door...I went and got my rifle, loaded a magazine and sat back down on the recliner.
They don't come by unannounced anymore...they call ahead of time by at least 2 days....which is acceptable.
