Why would you want to "live" on a fast food worker's salary though? It's really not an occupation you should want to have for a very long time. It's supposed to be an income supplement (if necessary) or a starting point.

OK, the company as whole makes such and such, but why should the guy making $7 flipping burgers, all of sudden now deserve $15 to flip the same damn burgers he was flipping yesterday ? And Unions are not as great as they used to be. I deal with them everyday in my job. People stopped fukking with unions because their demands became too crazy. Companies couldn't sustain them and would've went out of business, leaving everybody fukked.

well I dont work fast food, I make a good salary, plus side hustles. I make good money...and I these fast food workers for trying to get what they feel they deserve.

Nobody wants to live on a fast food salary. That's the point you guys are missing. Everyone knows it's supposed to be a starting point or whatever, but that's not how things work out for a lot of people. Most of the fast food workers I see are middle-aged women who had no choice but to work those jobs.

We are in the middle of a recession. College grads from elite universities are struggling to find work. People have to take what they can get. No one is our here working fast food because they want to.

The job itself is what it is. You needing to work at a fast food restarant because money is tight is one thing but that doens't mean you DESERVE $15 an hour to do it just because you need the money. There are minimal skills required to do the job so you get a minimal pay.
