He not dissing him, wale got him the deal, wale never claimed to be street, he just he giving a difference angle

It's not even about Wale being street or anything like that...It's that you're more likely to see a Fat Trel posted up on the steps across from the Verizon Center, hanging out on U street, or even just posted out around Adams Morgan.... than you'd ever see a Wale.

Wale really mis-represented DC when he first came out, shooting videos at HS's he never went too...and all types of shyt.

maybe because that's the DC he wants people to see. not this "young savage" ghetto bullshyt fat trel is talking about. a lot of us are sick of ghetto nikkas and their representation in hip-hop. we're tired of it, so i don't fault wale for not showing that part of DC. he's representing for the young black men who are educated and trying to do something positive, dealing with the usual bullshyt we're up against in this world (white people and racism, stupid females, etc.).

Wale is the dude, who made sure to shoot his first big budget video at Cardozo HS in DC....wholetime that nikka never attended ANY high school in DC...that alone should tell you something about him.

how you gonna be tired of dudes representing where they really come from keeping it 100 with you, and try to praise a dude who's faking the funk?

because wale's music is more intelligent and inspiring than trel's. and i'm not even a wale fan, but i can't criticize him for being a middle class black kid spitting middle class black raps. there used to be a time when we had a balance in rap, with the likes of de la and tribe rhyming right alongside the mobb deep's and nas'. nowadays, all it seems is to be this ghetto savage bullshyt. i honestly don't care if wale never attended that high school. if i had a choice between trel or wale, when it came to how i want hip-hop represented, i will pick wale.
