1-what the hell are you talking about?. I said that in my previous post as to why I disagree with fat feel and being a true DC person.
2- They needed justification which is why they came up with false claims s of being less human using science, then why they prevented things for us like gun ownership. The reason why it stopped being so prevalent is because TV allowed people all over the world to see how dumb segregation was. I talked to older people and TV played a big part in the change as well as blacks fighting for their rights by being passive as far as letting people curse them out and shyt on them.
3-I never said I had a problem with it, I said the glorifying of certain lifestyles. Where did I write a racists is that way cause of rap. I said it is the first thing they go to use as an excuse. Look at tray on, the kid shot in the car, and countless others
1. For the record he never said he was the only "True DC person", he specifically
states that he represents POOR black youth (and yes that is definitely debatable)
but where a lot of you went wrong is you conveniently overlooked that and latched onto
"Oh ! He said he's a savage!!!!".
2. No, that's false and completely ignorant of history.
It wasn't just "TV" that made bigots change their minds and even then a great deal of them didn't,
it's just that they can't wear their bigotry on their sleeves like they could in past generations.
It was actually African Americans working with White Americans among others in concert to change government, because even if they couldn't change the ignorant, pervasive racist culture abound in the 50's and 60's they certainly could force acceptance. Which is exactly what segregation did ! Of course that
didn't stop white flight, that didn't stop places like Harlem, Los Angeles and other areas which previously
had or currently still do have large black populations from falling from grace.
That didn't stop the explosion of crack, the lowering of school funding, the cut programs, the increasing violenceall of these things didn't come from Hip Hop neither did it come from rappers.
It's an ugly artifact from America's racist past and I think you'd do well in acknowledging it instead of simply stating "Well they just give racists Ammo !!!".
3. I see what you mean now, I must've misread the post.
I still stand by what I stated though, I feel rappers should be able to write about
whatever it is they choose. I don't even listen to Fat Trel neither do I find him all that talented
but the idea that Fat Trel shouldn't rap about certain things because a racist would
use it to justify their racism is nonsense and pushes this idea of Black censorship in the name
of appeasement.
