For the record, if you have to let items and belongings in the backseat just so you won't forget your children, then maybe just maybe you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

If you have push start, always put the keys in the back seat if you have infants back there in car seats. You get out and can’t lock your doors without going to the back.
There were times I forgot to drop my kids off at daycare in the morning and was almost at work before I realized. They were sleep and not making a sound and I was in my own world driving. I can’t imagine leaving them in the car though. Dad needs to be charged with manslaughter or felony child abuse at least.
