He's not an NBA caliber player and will never "develop" something that's beyond the scope of his ability to obtain. He speaks of "needing to be confident" in his post-game interviews so much because he has imposter syndrome. He knows he doesn't belong, and Lebron was shameless for using his hold on an inept front office to subject his son to that level of scrutiny to satisfy his own whims.
His existence in the league was not predicated or mandated by his ability, it was bestowed upon him and granted as a birthright ("Lebron is doing what anyone father would!") Steph, Griffey Jr., Klay, Kobe, Eli, Peyton, Bonds, McCaffrey, ect were drafted because they belonged in that 0.1% based on the merits of their actual ability, not because of politics and the name on their birth certificates. Pro sports isn't a mom & pop joint or your local, family owned ice cream shop. Until that changes, the discourse surrounding his lack of ability in comparison to his peers will remain.
